Butterfly House @ Warilla Library

Children of all ages love visiting the butterfly house, seeing live butterflies up close and learning all about them.


The butterfly house is back by popular demand! The butterfly house is a walk in tent with live butterflies inside.

It will be at Warilla library on Monday 15 January from 12:00 – 1:45pm, and Shellharbour City Library on Thursday 18 January from 12:00 – 1:45pm.

Bookings for children to enter the butterfly house are for 15 minute sessions only. Sessions start every 15 minutes between 12pm and 1:45pm. Before or after entering the butterfly house children can colour in their own butterfly artwork to take home and look at books about butterflies. Bookings for the 15 minute time slots are essential by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or calling 4221 6111 with details of the number of children you wish to book for and your preferred timeslot (e.g. two children for the 1:15pm session on January 15) and your contact number. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This free activity is organised by Council's Environment team and Shellharbour City Libraries.
