Are you interested in putting on a gig, organising a band tour or perhaps one day producing a festival? This course aims to teach you how to produce an event whether it is a small backyard music gig or a statewide tour and how to scale these small gigs up to large events. From deciding what kind of event you'll produce, to budgeting, booking acts and finding your audience.
This course also offers the chance to volunteer with the Council's Festival of Small Halls and the final session includes a networking event with local event producers.
All participants must attend all 3 sessions to be included in the networking function.
Sam Eacott was the Tour Coordinator for MusicNSW’s INDENT program, an all ages music tour that hosts workshops for young people aged 12-25 so that they can host events for themselves. Sam now works with PR and artist management agency Positive Feedback in Sydney. Alongside his fulltime work Sam also works for Heaps Gay, a Sydney based events company that puts on large scale LGBTQ+ accessible events and event management for FBi Radio.
