Shell Cove & Nautical Tourism
Shell Cove
Shell Cove is the largest coastal tourist/residential development ever initiated by a local government authority in Australia. When completed, the $1.5 billion development will create around 3,000 prime residential lots, a 270 berth marina constructed within an in-shore boatharbour, community parks and playgrounds, cycleways, and a range of quality commercial, retail, tourist, community and recreational facilities. Residents of Shell Cove are also just minutes from all the natural attractions Shellharbour City has to offer, including diving and snorkelling at Bass Point, surfing and swimming at local beaches, and picnicking at Blackbutt Reserve. The Links Shell Cove a par 71, 18 hole championship standard golf course was opened in January 2004 and has been rated one of the top 50 golf courses to play for under $50 and recently was ranked in Australia’s best 30 residential golf courses by Golf Australia Magazine.
