Killalea Beach (The Farm)

Killalea Beach or 'The Farm' as the locals know it is one of the most popular surfing beaches on the South Coast. One of the most important and unique facts about The Farm is that it faces to the south catching the south swell that predominantly runs up the coastline and is offshore in a northeast wind.

Killalea Beach was declared a National Surfing Reserve in 2009. Note: Killalea Beach is not patrolled.

A very popular surfing beach known by the locals as "The Farm" this beach is located within Killalea State Park. Killalea was officially declared as a National Surfing Reserve on 6 June 2009. Meaning that "The Farm" is a protected surfing area.

Killalea Beach "The Farm" Surfing Best Conditions: Offshore winds blow from the west-northwest with some shelter here from northeast winds. Best Swell is SE. Type of Break: The Farm is an exposed beach and point break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights.

Note: Killalea Beach is not patrolled.

Killalea State Park has a cafe over looking the picturesque waters of Killalea Beach. A bunkhouse - "backpacker" style and camping are available in the designated area.
