There is no better way to experience Shellharbour than by bike. Whether by yourself or with family and friends, the shared use paths allow you to explore with flexibility the sights within our city.
Cycling is a great way to discover the beautiful scenery, from the vast expanses of Lake Illawarra to the best beaches on the south coast and the numerous parks and reserves, you will be sure to find a perfect rest stop along the way.
Bring your own bike or hire one while your in town and explore Shellharbour and the regions extensive network of cycleways. Maps displaying self-guided cycling tours of Lake Illawarra, Shellharbour, Kiama and Wollongong are available for you to download or by calling the Shellharbour Visitors Centre on 02 4221 6169 or 1300 656 169.
Please remember
- Wear a helmet at all times.
- Children under 10 should be closely supervised whenever they ride.
- When using a shared path, keep to the left at all times.
- Travel in single file unless overtaking.
