Let’s go back in time to when the ILRMS will be celebrating the 48th year since the Steam Locomotives Wallaby and Burra arrived at their new home at Albion Park from the AI&S Visitors Centre on December 1st 1978. As part of the celebrations on the day they will pay tribute to the AIS Traffic Department for a great day out.
On their arrival on December 1st, 1978, is that Burra went on her journey to be restored and operational and Wallaby was placed on display at the front of the ILRMS and is the Societies front icon.
On the day there will be train rides, food sales, and stories to tell.
