Historical Aircraft Restoration Society is a 2018 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award Winner for top 25 museums in the South Pacific and top 10 museums in Australia. Step back in time and immerse yourself in the history of aviation by taking a guided tour of the HARS Aviation Museum. The unique tours allow you to see some uniquie historic aircraft including “Connie” Lockhead Super Constellaion, the airliner of the 1950’s that conquered the world, you can get up close and personal with the Neptune Bomber, sit inside the cockpit of an F1-11 and many more. Tours are available 7 days per week from 10am until 2.30pm. Have you ever wandered what it would be like to walk on the wing of an aircraft. Here at HARS you can do just that, Walk on the Wing of a Qantas Boeing 747, an experience not to be missed. For anyone that loves their planes, you don’t want to miss the Qantas 747 Exprience, where you get to see areas of the plane not accessable by the public, a must do experience at HARs. Advance bookings are required. Once a month on the second Friday, Saturday and Sunday HARS take their aircraft out of the hanger onto the tarmac for thier Tarmac Days, making it a perfect time to get some fabulous photographs of the aircraft.

The Australian Motorlife Museum

With 4000 sq. m of display space and the second biggest museum of its kind in Australia, we have an assortment of historic motor vehicles, motor bikes, petrol pumps, bicycles, gramophones, radios, sewing machines, lawnmowers, weighing scales, badges, irons, tools, numerous signs, typewriters, telephones, extensive reference library and the list goes on and on. Displays aim at providing a perspective view of not only motor vehicles but parallel technological development, particularly of the period c.1880 to 1950. Our oldest vehicle is an Australian built 1904 Innes motorcar. We have one of only two surviving examples of a range of motorcycles manufactured by Australian David Spencer c.1906. The Australian MOTORLIFE Museum has a great deal to interest everyone, young and old alike, with an insight into the history of motoring through its showcase of historic vehicles and memorabilia. The museum is willing to accept donations of vehicles or other memorabilia of the time which will be displayed and cared for accordingly. Exhibits on display are rotated and on occasion removed or replaced.
