Intermediate Mosaics at The Tinkerage, Dunmore

Take your mosaic skills to the next level with this creative and hands on workshop led by mosaic artist Kay Wheeler.

In this intermediate class, you will learn how to cut and shape reclaimed tiles using a range of mosaic tools. Kay will guide you through techniques for creating circles, triangles and squares to form an abstract design. You will use these skills to make your own trivet from salvaged materials.

This workshop is ideal for those who have tried mosaics before and want to deepen their knowledge while working with reclaimed resources.

Important Note

Grouting will need to be completed on a different day to allow adhesive time to set. You can grout your piece at home or return to The Tinkerage on a Thursday or Friday to finish it.

• Eye protection
• Mosaic tools if you already have them

• Participants must wear enclosed protective shoes at The Tinkerage
