Get ready to roll up your sleeves and help clean up our beautiful coastline!
As a part of the Luv the Lake program for litter reduction, Shellharbour and Wollongong City Councils are hosting a Coastal Clean Up at Reddall Reserve to celebrate World Ocean’s Month.
As part of the event, you’ll be provided with all the tools you need to conduct a litter clean up around the foreshore. Don’t forget to wear enclosed shoes, comfortable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen as clean ups can be a little messy. We encourage you to bring your own reusable water bottle and coffee cup, as a water refill station and coffee van will be available on the day.
Our jam-packed day of activities will feature engaging stallholders who are passionate about protecting and conserving the environment, offering educational materials and fun activities for all ages. Bring the kids along and watch them get their faces painted with ocean-themed designs while learning about the importance of keeping our shores clean from roaming actors.
Live music will keep you grooving all day and if you’re feeling peckish food will be available on the day, so you can keep your energy levels high throughout the day.
LOCATION: Reddall Reserve, Lake Illawarra
This is a free event and registrations are encouraged to ensure a smooth sign up on the day.
