Go on a family-friendly after-hours guided tour in Budderoo National Park these school holidays. See Minnamurra Rainforest by night on this unforgettable adventure, inland from Kiama on the South Coast.
With an experienced NPWS guide by your side, you’ll explore the suspension bridges and elevated walkways of Lyrebird loop walk by torchlight.
Let the darkness enhance your senses as your eyes adjust to the low light. Search for evidence of wildlife, breathe in the scents of the lush, remnant rainforest and listen for the critters that call this place home.
Make sure you come prepared for a night walk. Wear closed shoes, bring warm clothing, a torch, a camera without a flash, drinking water and wet weather gear.
When: 1 October 2025, 6pm to 7.30pm.
Where: Lyrebird loop walk, Budderoo National Park
Accessibility: No wheelchair access
Grade: Medium.
Suitable for adults and children 5 years and over. We’ll walk 1.6km.
Price: Adult $25 per person. Child (5 to 16 years) $15 per person. Family $70 (2 adults, 2 children). Entry feesPrice includes park entry fee
Meeting point: Minnamurra Rainforest Centre. The park gates will be open so you can enter from 5.50pm to 6pm.
What to bring: Suitable clothing, sturdy shoes, torch, raincoat, bottled water.
