National Simultaneous Story Time at Shellharbour Library

This year National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) takes place on Wednesday the 22nd of May at 12:00pm. We would love to celebrate with you!

Libraries, childcare centres, schools, homes and book stores across the country will read the picture book Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker for National Simultaneous Storytime, 2024

What you’ll do:

Join us in the Civic Centre Auditorium for a very fun and vibrant literacy event. Experience a special reader’s theatre based on Bowerbird Blues, enjoy songs, rhymes, games, crafts and a very special appearance from our reading mascot- Bangu!

What should I know?

This event is free for the entire family to enjoy.

Bookings are not required. The program will run for approximately 50 minutes.

Who should attend?

This program is targeted to preschoolers, however all ages are welcome. This event aims to promote the value of reading and literacy to all ages!
