Red Gum, Yellow Gum, Blue Gum – EcoArt in the Forest!
Join local artist Janine Bailey, tree expert Leon Fuller and Chair of Illawarra Landcare Emma Rooksby in a hands-on EcoArt workshop with Illawarra eucalyptus trees. Learn about local ecology and how to identify different species by exploring colour, shape and texture. Create fun drawings, meet new trees and people and relax with a guided meditation under the forest canopy at Blackbutt Reserve. This event is a unique opportunity to blend art with ecology and create connections to place and community.
This outdoor workshop is for adults and people aged 16 years+. Minimal walking on flat grass/paths is involved and the workshop site is easily accessible from the carpark.
This workshop is organised by Shellharbour City Council’s Environment Team as part of the Sustainable Shellharbour education program.
Spots are limited – book now and bring your creativity to life in the great outdoors!
