The whole family will love waving from the steam train as it travels past the station and travels through a bushland setting. The museum has steam, diesel, and miniature train rides for the children to experience a piece of history, which mum, dad and grandparents will enjoy.

The Museum Society is volunteer operated and founded in 1972. Local historical railway buildings including the 1915 signal box from Otford and the 1890 Yallah Railway Station building along with the Ken McCarthy Museum building, the Ken Mccarthy Museum Building shows the museum’s history since it was founded in 1972.

The museum grounds are a great place to escape, kids can play in the playground while the adults relax in the picnic area. Food sales along with coffee and souvenirs available in the Tramway Dining Car.

For an experience of the railway, a tour of the locomotive shed is an experience where a volunteer will share detailed stories and the history of the historical rolling stock and locomotives that have been collected over the years.
