Our gut does far more than digest food – it plays a central role in immunity, mood, energy, hormone balance and how well we absorb nutrients. In this talk, Emily Gardem, a Clinical Nutritionist & Chef from Shellharbour, will walk attendees through the basics of gut health in plain, practical language: what “good” gut health actually looks like, how everyday habits like stress, sleep, medications and diet shape the microbiome, and why common issues such as bloating, fatigue and skin concerns can often trace back to digestion.

Drawing on her food-as-medicine approach, Emily will cover the foods and everyday swaps that support a thriving gut, along with common mistakes people make when trying to improve their digestion. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of their own gut health and simple, realistic changes they can start making straight away. Whether dealing with ongoing digestive discomfort or simply curious about the gut-health conversation, this talk is for everyone.
