Community Safety Pop-up Meeting: Are You Riding Safely?

We’re hosting an educational Community Safety Pop-up Meeting in partnership with Lake Illawarra Police at The Waterfront, Shell Cove on Monday, 24 February, from 4pm to 5pm.

If you use an e-bike or e-scooter (or are thinking about getting one), this is your chance to learn all about the latest rules, safety tips, and how to ride responsibly.

As the popularity of e-bikes and e-scooters increases in our community, we want to make sure these devices are used safely for both riders and pedestrians. Education and clear rules are crucial in achieving this. While local governments manage infrastructure like roads, cycleways, parks, and open spaces, NSW Police are responsible for enforcing the rules—and we’re committed to supporting them where we can.

Join us for an informative session where you can learn about the rules and recommendations, ask any questions you have, and discover how to stay safe while using these devices.

 Date: Monday, 24 February
 Time: 4pm – 5pm
 Location: The Waterfront, Shell Cove
