Join us for a unique and joyful workshop where music, creativity and reuse come together.
Mark Holder Keeping is a musician and the Illawarra’s found object instrument making guru. He is passionate about the way music can connect people across ages and experiences. In this hands on workshop, Mark will teach you how to make a simple musical instrument from salvaged materials, such as a Diddley Bow or a Canjo.
You will explore sound, experiment with reclaimed materials and learn the art of turning everyday objects into instruments with personality and character.
The day will finish with a musical jam led by Mark, with the chance to play some of his incredible salvaged instrument creations.
