Looking for something fun and creative these school holidays? Join pottery clay workshops with Black Duck Studio at The Imaginarium. Classes available for kids, adults and teens.
Make a Plate
Make & paint a foodsafe plate! The kids love making these plates! (So do the parents actually…) Black Duck Studios make it really simple by using a plastic plate as a template. You are shown from start to finish; how to roll, smooth and cut the clay, then you’ll get to paint it on the same day.

Make and Paint a Sculpture
Get creative with sculpting your own animal, monster, TV character… or even your own pet! Drop the kids off while you grab a meal at the Village. Or join the fun and learn all the tips and tricks to create a hollowed out sculpture that will be fired in the kiln.

Teens Clay Workshop
Teens only – Make and paint a slab-built piece. No parents. No younger siblings. Just teens and their friends! Black Duck Studios will provide the instructions and guidance for a slab-built clay piece, but give the learners lots of freedom! For any teens happy to follow along to all the instructions start to finish, Black Duck Studios will show them how to make a trinket dish.
