Well, it’s been 20 years since the conception of THE VILLAINS.

We are so excited to announce our 20th Anniversary Show at The Oaks Hotel on December 21st 2024.
We hope you all can come and celebrate with us.

ALSO, Our old friend HANNIBAL LECTOR will be joining us as our VERY SPECIAL GUEST on the night.

How It All Began…

So we can’t believe it’s been 20 years. It was that long ago that that bass player guy met that guitarist guy. Then we met that drummer guy and we started to jam, just the 3 of us in a garage, while we were searching for the singer. We tried several singer guys but there was ONLY ONE who could fit the job description.

We eventually found the singer guy and the band was complete. We already had our version of ‘I Ran’ (Flock of Seagulls) and some other songs that we ‘Villainised’ and things were coming together. We were having fun.

So what should we call this band?
The guitarist guy says, “I’ve always wanted to be Darth Vader in a band” (ok, that’s unusual we thought). Next the drummer guy says, “well let’s call the band The Villains”,and so THE VILLAINS were born in the Joker’s little garage.

The 1st and 2nd shows were at Yallah Roadhouse. Do you remember that venue? We didn’t expect the response we received. We saw people moving toward the stage with cameras and after such a positive response we thought, WOW we might be onto something here.

By late 2000 we were delivering “sold out” shows at many venues including this one.

We feel very privileged and grateful to have such great fans, friends and supporters. And the members in the band still have a great friendship 20 years later.
