Early Start Discovery Space
Early Start Discovery Space is Australia’s only dedicated children’s museum. With more than 14 interactive experiences to explore, Early Start Discovery Space is the ultimate learn-through-play centre for children (0-10 years) and adults to enjoy together.
Explore a giant stomach, design and construct a house, dig for fossils, discover the world of decorative and creative art, be a train conductor, act on stage, sail a ship, crawl through a cave, play with water, immerse yourself in our LEGO™ bricks room, create digital media and so much more.
The Early Start Discovery Space has a rolling program of activities throughout each day with something new happening every half hour from 9.30am – 3pm. Workshops and activities, including Storytime and CreARTivity (guided art and craft sessions), have been devised by University of Wollongong educators and researchers to complement the Early Start Discovery Space’s monthly theme

The Early Start Discovery Space is an interactive educational space designed for children and adults to enjoy together.
Activities are designed to allow children to take control and share their imagination and creativity with others. The best-designed activities ensure accompanying adults have as much enjoyment as children, sharing the experience as co-learners and creators.
